Pre-surgical blood workBloodwork gives your veterinarian vital information regarding your pet’s organ function and overall body health. It can pick up on internal issues that cannot be seen or are still too subtle to pick up on a physical exam. Ensuring your pet is healthy inside and out prior to surgery will minimize their risk of complications, and help ensure they have a smooth recovery so they can get back to their normal selves in no time! Having bloodwork also helps your vet pick the appropriate drug combination to give your pet for sedation, anesthesia, and pain control. Knowing how your dog or cat’s organs are functioning allows the doctor to tailor your pet’s medications to their specific needs, which helps decrease side effects. | ![]() |

ARE WELLNESS PLANS LIKE INSURANCE?
No, pet insurance programs help reduce the financial risk of unexpected veterinary costs in the event your pet is sick or injured.
Wellness Plans provide your pet with routine care that is needed each year such as examinations, vaccinations and basic laboratory tests necessary to help protect against illness and disease. The cost for each plan is divided into 12 affordable monthly payments. Wellness Plans automatically renew each year to ensure your pet is always covered for the preventive care services they need on a yearly basis.

We understand that you want the very best for your pet but preventive and routine care can add up quickly.

My pet is getting older. Does it make sense to buy a Wellness Plan?

Wellness Plans for older pets include the standard core services, in addition to screening for various age-related diseases and disorders.

What happens if my pet passes during the 12 month commitment?
If your pet passes away during your 12-month commitment, we will cancel the plan immediately.
What is the difference between a pet Wellness Plan and pet insurance?
While both Wellness Plans and pet insurance help you manage the costs of your pet’s veterinary care, the types of veterinary services they cover are different.
Wellness Plans include preventive care costs (things like vaccinations and routine exams), while Pet Insurance is designed to cover emergency services, accidents, or specific illnesses.
Will the Wellness Plan cover all of my pet's healthcare needs?
Wellness plans cover the routine care that all cats and dogs need (core vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea prevention, and more). You will also receive a discount on any other service your pet needs (like bloodwork or additional exam), excluding food and grooming.
